The Saratoga Springs office of the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York provides civil law services to low-income residents of Saratoga, Warren and Washington County. The Rural Law Center is a nonprofit legal services provider dedicated to bringing the needs of low-income residents of rural New York City to the attention of our legal system and government institutions. This organization assists with matters related to family law, consumer debt and housing. The organization also facilitates access to pro bono representation. They serve the forty-four rural counties of New York City and have offices in Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, and Rennselaer counties. They do not provide criminal defence services. We also provide services through our many special projects, including the Department of Human Services administers a variety of programs that help Warren County residents with problems, including, but not limited to, adult and child protective services, Medicaid-funded care in nursing homes, medical transport and domestic violence. The Office of the Appointed Council assesses candidates to determine their suitability for public defence services and protects them from conflicts of interest. The Legal Project is a non-profit legal services provider serving the New York City Capitol area. Its objective is to offer a wide range of civil law services to those who have traditionally had difficulty accessing civil law experience. Their services include assistance with writing wills, obtaining affordable housing, protecting landlords, immigration matters and many other services.

They do not provide criminal defence services. We offer free advice, short-term service, referrals, municipal legal education and comprehensive representation in a variety of legal matters.
